Atlantic Canadian Virtual Trade Mission to Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF)

Atlantic Canadian Virtual Trade Mission to Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF)

Start: Wednesday, October 27, 2021

End: Thursday, October 28, 2021

Virtual Summit: October 27-28, 2021

The Maritimes Energy Association is pleased to lead the Atlantic Canadian delegation to Caribbean
Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) 2021, in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
This year, CREF will be made up of two events with a virtual summit from October 27-28, 2021
followed by a powerhouse in-person event from April 26-28, 2022 at the JW Marriott Marquis in
Miami, Florida.

Since it was first launched in 2009, CREF has become the place where the Caribbean energy market
meets - governments, utilities, multilaterals and investors all explore opportunities to ramp up investment
in clean energy across the region.

Over the course of the virtual summit and in-person event, there will be tremendous opportunities to meet key stakeholders currently working on projects and initiatives in the Caribbean, be they Government Ministers or the CEOs of top international developers. There are significant benefits of attending both the virtual CREF mission and the in-person summit; delegates can begin building their connections with key stakeholders during the virtual event and propel their relationships forward at the in-person mission.

The Atlantic Canada Trade Mission Program includes:

Matchmaking Consulting Service to identify your goods and services with potential buyers, prearrange
virtual B2B meetings and in-person networking opportunities, help prepare for successful
business meetings and assist delegate companies to develop a focused plan for follow up in the

Pre-Mission Workshop/Webinar Briefing that will cover topics such as cultural business
preparation, regional energy overview, points to consider when deciding to export to the Caribbean
and important factors to consider when doing business in a virtual environment.

Conference Registration – One Conference pass will be provided per company for this mission.
Additional passes may be purchased for subsequent delegates from The Maritimes Energy Association.

Atlantic Canada Exhibitor – Atlantic Canada will have a presence in the virtual Trade Show where
representatives will demonstrate the capabilities of Atlantic Canadian companies to supply the
Caribbean renewable energy sector and promote the region as a reputable partner. Delegate
companies will have the ability to purchase a virtual exhibitor booth for an additional fee.

The registration fee for this mission is $500 + HST.
