The 12th annual Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum will be virtual!
The Maritimes Energy Association is pleased to lead the Atlantic Canadian delegation to Virtual CREF 2020, in partnership with the Atlantic Trade and Investment Growth Agreement and Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
Through the last decade, the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) has become the place the Caribbean energy market meets - governments, utilities, multilaterals and investors all explore opportunities to ramp up investment in clean energy across the region. Like everything we have become accustomed to, the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the delivery methods for the conference and the mission, but the challenges and business opportunities to help the energy sector in the Caribbean remain.
We are seeking expressions of interest from companies and organizations in Atlantic Canada to attend a Virtual Atlantic Canadian Trade Mission to the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) being held from October 28 – 30, 2020.
The Atlantic Canada Virtual Trade Mission Program will include:
Matchmaking Consulting Service – We have contracted Beyond Ventures and their partner M&C Latin Trade to provide matchmaking consulting services for this mission. They will identify your goods and services with potential buyers, pre-arrange virtual B2B meetings and networking opportunities, help prepare for successful business meetings in a virtual environment and assist delegate companies to develop a focused plan for follow up in the market while travel is restricted. This service has been repeatedly identified by past delegates as the most valuable part of the mission and will be a critical part of the success for delegates in 2020. A virtual mission has the benefit of greater flexibility for the matchmaking consultants to secure B2B meetings in the stakeholder schedules.
Pre-Mission Workshop/Webinar Briefing Delegates will attend a pre-mission workshop/webinar approximately two weeks before the virtual mission that will cover topics such as cultural business preparation, regional energy overview, points to consider when deciding to export to the Caribbean and important factors to consider when doing business in a virtual environment.
Conference Registration – One conference pass will be provided per company for this mission. This will allow access to the virtual platform; additional passes may be purchased for subsequent delegates from The Maritimes Energy Association.
Atlantic Canada Exhibitor –Atlantic Canada will have a presence in the virtual Trade Show where representatives will demonstrate the capabilities of Atlantic Canadian companies to supply the Caribbean renewable energy sector and promote the region as a reputable partner. Delegate companies will have the ability to purchase a virtual exhibitor booth from New Energy Events for an additional fee.
