                                                          Colombia Energy Sector

The Maritimes Energy Association has received funding through the Atlantic Canada Trade and Investment Agreement to implement an 18-month project plan to establish an Atlantic Canadian business presence in the Colombian Oil & Gas and Energy Sectors.

This plan includes three components:

  • Mission in November of 2019 to tentatively coincide with an Oil & Gas Summit (November 13-15) to be held in Bogota, Colombia and an in-market visit to Barranquilla, a World Energy Cities Partnership City (WECP);
  • In-bound Mission of Colombian stakehholders to Atlantic Canada in March 2020 and;
  •  Mission to Colombia that will take place in the fall of 2020.

If we do not have the minimum required companies to attend the first mission because of the short time-line for recruiting, new dates will be chosen.  Each Colombian Mission will include a visit to Barranquilla and Bogota, thus will be at least five (5) to seven (7) days in-market.
