BGC has a team of over 280 engineers, geoscientists, and technologists who provide a full range of investigation, assessment, design and construction supervision services worldwide. Senior staff members have shaped best-practice standards for engineering and geoscience in Canada and internationally. BGC has successfully undertaken projects throughout North and South America, Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia, and operates out of 11 offices in North and South America.
BGC has a very active research and development initiative. BGC staff have authored over 200 peer reviewed papers in international journals and conference proceedings as well as book chapters and books.
BGC is involved in numerous projects that are at the research front and are well funded by the private industry. Some of BGC's staff act as adjunct professors at the University of British Columbia and are invited to give guest lectures at a variety of other universities. BGC staff is routinely contacted to act as reviewers for international journals. BGC also seeks input from specialist in academia for projects that require highly specialized input that is not found in-house.
