The World Hydropower Congress is now virtual, free and open to all

The World Hydropower Congress brings together the planet's leading thought leaders, decision-makers and innovators for an historic virtual summit to determine priorities for hydropower development.  

Taking place over three weeks from 7-24 September, the event will showcase how sustainable hydropower is part of the solution to climate change. Influential speakers will set out how investment is urgently needed now to build the smart, resilient, clean energy infrastructure of the future. 

On the eve of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), this is hydropower's opportunity to demonstrate its critical role in the clean energy transition for decades to come.

The 2021 World Hydropower Congress will be hosted under the patronage of the President of Costa Rica and supported by Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE).

Using hydropower, wind, solar, geothermal and bioenergy resources, Costa Rica represents one of the best examples of clean energy systems, responsible freshwater management and climate-change solutions.

This year we will reach a larger, more diverse audience than any previous World Hydropower Congress, All registered participants will have unlimited access to the programme. The event will be the premier global meeting place for energy, finance and development professionals.
