Every summer, Marine Renewables Canada holds an event to bring its members and the broader ocean and energy industries together for an evening of networking and catching up on progress and opportunities in the sector.

We’ve been monitoring the current situation and outlook for COVID-19 in Nova Scotia including restrictions. It is looking promising that restrictions will be eased as the summer draws near and we are excited to announce that we  will move ahead with our annual Nautical Networking event onboard the Tall Ship Silva.

We hope that you can join us on the Tall Ship Silva on August 12, 2021 for a wonderful evening featuring a cruise around Halifax Harbour, live music, great food and an opportunity to re-connect with colleagues!

We have established health and safety guidelines for the 2021 Nautical Event, which will be updated as restrictions and protocols evolve over the coming weeks and months.

Cancellation policy

Given the many ongoing uncertainties posed by COVID-19, MRC has established a flexible cancellation policy for this event. Full refunds will be given to registered attendees prior to August 9, 2021. After August 9, only substitutions will be accepted. If the Nova Scotia Government enforces restrictions that prevent safely hosting this event when the event date draws near, we will post-pone or cancel the event and offer registrants a full refund.
