Net Zero 2050 – Charting the Path Forward for Regulators and the Natural Gas Delivery Industry

Start: Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 13:00

End: Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 14:00

The federal Liberal Government has introduced 2050 net zero GHG emissions legislation for Canada. For Canada to make progress on its 2030 and 2050 targets, it will be foundational that we leverage the vast energy infrastructure and project innovation of Canada’s regulated utilities and transmission companies.

The objective of this workshop is to explore Canada’s 2030 and 2050 emission reduction goals and the role of the gaseous energy delivery industry as contributors to it. We will explore three sub themes including: i) gaseous emission reduction pathways for Canada to 2030 and 2050, ii) Canadian gaseous industry emission reduction leadership, and iii) 2050 through the lens of key consumers in Canada.

More information, including an agenda, speakers and registration will be available in January 2021. We look forward to providing more information. In the meantime, please mark your calendars and follow along on social media at #CGANetZero2050.
