Ray Ritcey
Chief Executive Officer

Ray has over 35 yearsí experience in the energy industry in Canada. He has held executive positions in both the natural gas and electric industries working with such industry leaders as TransCanada Pipelines, Ontario Hydro, Enbridge and AltaGas. He is Chair of the Board of Directors for Halifax Water.

For 10 years he led the development and build out of natural gas distribution in Nova Scotia and was the founding President of Heritage Gas Limited.

Born and raised in Halifax, Ray holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration from Saint Maryís University, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant. He lives in Halifax with his wife Debbie and they have two grown children.
Lori Peddle
Business & Operations Manager

Lori joined the association as Business & Operations Manager in May of 2012. She brings to the team over a decade of operations and administrative experience.

Previous positions include Director of Operations at the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies and Administrative and Rentals Coordinator for Neptune Theatre.

In addition to managing the associationís finances, Loriís role is to improve the overall efficiency of the Association.

Lori's time within the theatre community enhanced her love of the arts and she now spends much of her spare time volunteering in the community. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Eastern Front Theatre.

Lori holds a history degree from Acadia University. Originally from Corner Brook, NL, Lori resides in Halifax with her partner and their chocolate lab.
Louise Hawkins
Member Relations Coordinator

Louise brings to her role as Member Relations Coordinator over 15 years of customer service experience in a variety of industries. She gained valuable experience in business development and marketing as a small business owner. Most recently Louise worked for a local technology company as Director of Brand Integration and Customer Service.

She has volunteered her time extensively with school and non-profit associations including previous board positions at both Gymnastics Nova Scotia and Halifax ALTA Gymnastics Club.

Louise grew up in Nova Scotia and holds a Bachelor of Home Economics Degree from Mount Saint Vincent University. She lives in Fall River with her husband John, and they have three grown children.
Torrie George
Communications & Events Coordinator

Torrie brings to her role of ĎCommunications and Events Coordinatorí many yearsí experience in marketing and communications strategy, holding a Bachelors of International Business Administration from Memorial University (MUN). Torrie has worked throughout the private sector globally, from Commercial Insurance to Aerospace & Defence, while recently transitioning to focus in the Energy Industry.

Over the last 5 years Torrie has been honing her skills in large scale exhibition management, with a focus on program & content development. This role at MEA marries her skillsets together beautifully, and she is excited to grow into a trusted voice for the Association members going forward.

Originally from St. Johnís, NL. She has been an active member of the business community of her home province in the past, as an Ambassador of the St. Johnís Board of Trade, and NFP associations like Happy City St. Johnís and the Association for New Canadians.
